I've only played with this beast for one round but man am I impressed! Huge distance off the tee 250m and fills you with confidence off the fairway. Looks great, sounds great and feels exceptional. Exactly what you want in a fairway wood: distance and confidence. Out of the middle it's deadly accurate and you feel the ball spring off the head. Off shots still perform well. Love the sound too.
Can't comment on durability yet.

I recently added the XTD Fairway Wood to my bag.
Before this club, I was always a bit short on long par 4's.
Since I put the XTD in play, that is no longer a problem.
The ball seems to just rocket off of the club face.
I'm a believer!

At first I had trouble,I was all over the place.After I settled down it was like it was a different club. It was just what I had hopped for. STRAIGHT LONG 210 yds,190 average.

I've been wanting a new 3 wood for some time (I currently have a 909d3). On a recent trip to Golfsmith, I put several through the paces on the launch monitor and this Adams fairway in 14.5 degree w/stiff 65g Fubuki shaft performed the best. Competing were the Ping I 20, Titleist 910 fd, NIke VRS, and Razr Hawk, none of which were as good. The XTD hits a long straight ball and produced fabulous numbers, not to mention about 275 avg length, and no that is not a typo. My swing speed was fm 107-115. Even on flat deck hits I could get 280 no probs. I can see what Robert Karlsson was talking about now. Only downside is the price. I went to the isle to check and saw 299.99. Wow, truly a great club and compared to what else is out there it's the best, but I will wait to pick one up pre-owned.

I've always been a big Taylormade fan, but at a recent demo day I put the RBZ and Super XTD Fairway in a head to head comparison on a trackman launch monitor outdoors. There was no comparison. The Super XTD averaged 3mph more ballspeed, launched higher, spun less, and went 10 yards further than the RBZ! This wasn't just 1 or 2 strikes that did this, it was the average distance gained over 6 really good shots. I was using the Fubuki Stiff flex in the Super XTD. What a quality shaft. To put a $300 aftermarket priced shaft into this fairway is SO much better than Taylormades cheap stock shafts in the RBZ.
With the Adidas aquisition of Adams, I only hope and pray that the Taylormade Marketing doesn't carry over and ruin Adams. Taylormade is too much hype and too little performance. If they didn't pay Pros so much to play there equipment, you'd see a lot more Adams in peoples bags on TOUR!!!!

I had played the Callaway Hot 3 wood, which was several years old but still a good 3 wood. It was an inch longer than the 14.5 Super XTD, however I hit the Super XTD easily 30 yards farther. I also tried the Taylormade RBZ, Tour Exotic, Cleveland, and Calloway 3 woods and they did not compare to the Super XTD. Due to lack of control with my driver, I decided two weeks ago to use the Super XTD off the tee on all 4-pars and 5-pars. On the second day of this "experiment", I broke 80 for the first time in my life. I can hit it almost as far as my driver, but have much better control, and I trust the club. It is easy to hit, looks and sounds great, and for some reason, much easier to finish my swing with. As a 13 handicap, I can still hit bad shots, yet misses with this club are much better than with my driver or previous 3 wood. As a Left hander, I only wish that the 13 degree STD was made in Left hand as I would buy that as well and it would become my driver. I also have the 17 and 21 degree hybrids and recommend them as well.
